Description
Original still life oil painting with purple thistles in a green vase. I picked these thistles up along the roadside and put them in a vase with water. After sitting in the water for 5 minutes the stems started to turn and twist, ending in this beautiful arrangement. They were an absolute treat to paint, and I'll have to do a few more paintings of thistles.

Week 42 May 15 - 21 Congratulations go out to Rick Hansen as Artist of the Week.
