Description
Oak trees; maple trees; and evergreen trees in October with an overcast day. Fall colors are at their best on an overcast day like this, because as an artist I'm trying to capture not only the correct color, but also the temperature of that color, which in turn will create more atmosphere in the painting. This was painted on site (en plein air as the French call it) just to the northeast of Wyoming Minnesota, near Carlos Avery Game Refuge.
